Could not agree more. I tested them one day in snow and slid for a good 20 feet before stopping. Absolute trash in the snow. I'm running blizzaks.

How are Trail Grapplers in the snow? I was thinking of getting them but I need them tone decent in the snow.

Glad this got brought up again pre-season. Snow/Ice driving in my world really depends on the product behind the wheel more than around the rims...but I still am debating grabbing a set of chains rather than a second set of rims and tires for my first year out with my TRDP. I have looked back through this and other threads into the January/February months each year and I could not find a solid consensus so I have decided to keep my recovery gear on board this winter and see how it goes, but think I may need the chains with the Nittos. In a couple of years when the stock treads get thin I will dig back in to the opinions but unless I am mis-remembering, aren't the KO2's pretty popular as year round tires for us northerners?

I'm in Ottawa, Canada where we see lots of snow in the winter...and concur with the others.

There is no AT tire that is good in the snow and ice. It's particularly important with a truck like the pro which is generally in RWD. Don't skimp.
There's a reason it's the law in most countries which see a long snow season.

Picked up my TDR Pro on Friday
May I ask when you placed your order? I put down a deposit last month, but their telling me I won't get mine till probably November. The wait is killing me!! :wow:

I put a deposit down on an Off Road on 7/20 & had a Off Road Premium coming in for me but I really didn't want the moonroof. July 25th I changed my mind and asked the dealer to find the Pro instead. They swapped the Off Road for the Pro both of which were inbound to the port at the same time. It arrived in port on 7/31 and at the dealer on 8/3 and I picked it up Friday the 4th.

What kind of warranty have y'all gotten for your pro? My dealership is offering 84 months or 100k miles for $2200. Just curious to see what y'all think about this. Thanks for the help!

If thats full warranty I think that sounds like a steal. Really covers everything and if you plan on keeping it for a long time this could be beneficial...while Toyota reliability is great mechanically, I would be worried about some of the electronics that can go bad or have issues in several years or so?

My dealership offered a lifetime warranty for right around $1k.. bumper to bumper. The only requirement being that you have it serviced on schedule for all required maintenance at Toyota for the life of the vehicle

If anyone is looking for a Cement in the North East, I drove by the dealer I got mine from and they have a Cement out front. Doesn't say it's sold yet.

"Super Rare"... 6 inch lift on the Pro ruins the truck and makes it look really stupid.

I was offered the same rate and I didn't hesitate in declining. This is my 4th 4runner and the previous 3 all had over 200K miles when I sold them and never had any major issues. You're much better off self-insuring in my opinion. Keep in mind they're selling you that policy to make additional profit off of you.

So I'm looking to upgrade and order new tires for my rig. I saw first hand how shitty the stock nitto's are in the snow so am definitely trying to get ahead of the next season.
Is it true that the BFG KO2 All Terrain's are also snow rated? I was planning on ordering the 275/70R17 and am hoping they are both snow rated (there a specific version of the tire I need to order??) and fit on without any trim.
