4runner TRD Pro

Not sure its a problem, but does anyone notice air blowing out the center console even with the knob turned to off? I noticed that if I turn the knob to hot, it blows out hot air and does similar when it is switched to cold. It is not too hard but slight enough to notice when you put your hand on the air vents.

I am confused.

My 4R does that too, as well as my wife's 04 Tacoma.

Is your a/c control set to recirculate? The Fresh air inlet door opens to the cowl and the top of the cabin filter so if you're driving, you're going to get some air forced into the A/C duct work.

Have a problem with mice getting in, had to come up with a temp solution until I can fab up something prettier.

It's normal.... I have seen guys here have their 4R's sit for weeks before they have the wheels/tires, suspension, etc installed. You have to factor in customs's, and how busy the port is with scheduling the install work. Mine took nine days from vessel arrival to port process. Some are processed quicker then others. Hang in there....

wait...they arrive without wheels, tires and suspension?? weird. but thanks for the info, I feel slightly better, but no less anxious to get my new rig! In the meantime, I'm daily driving my track car while waiting LOL:lookout:

They arrive with steelies, badgeless, etc. All the extra goodies are port installed!!

Just got my TRD Pro in Cement on Monday.

I noticed mine did not come with running boards or the rear pull out cargo tray. I'm actually kind of glad it didnt.

I think almost all the TRD Pro's in Cement came with these pull out tailgate tray things. Anyone have one WITHOUT one?

According to my local TX dealer, the rear sliding tray is included in all Pros sold by Gulf States Toyota dealers. My Cement Pro doesn't have it since I bought it from Missouri.

I got mine in Northern California and ALL the ones I have seen in Cali have had the sliding tray.

Mine dosent have it as well. The two things I really didn't want was the remote engine start, and slide out tray. Was fournate to pick one up with minimal add-ons. Congrats on your new Pro.

Thanks, me personally I think the remote engine start is foolish because you have to get in and restart the engine if you want to drive it. That's the worst thing you can do to your car is to stop and start it unnecessarily, I know many will disagree but it is what it is.

If you didn't have to restart it, I would like the ability to have a warm car in the morning before I leave.

This is only true for the Limited I believe, unless the 2017 has gone to the keyless fob (my 2016 has a key, and works like a normal remote start). I agree that it's a pain in the ass, as I had this issue on my Avalon. You would think they could code for it to detect the key inside the vehicle when you hit the brake pedal, and if detected, the car/truck stays on.

Seems like California just got a run of cement pro's.

KWolff which dealer did you use and how was your experience

I got it from Novato Toyota and it was the most painless dealer experience ever. I will admit that I paid an ADM of a 1000 dollars but since the truck didnt come with unnecessary options and I didn't travel out of state, I did not mind paying it at all.

They didn't play the four square game, force me to buy lo jack or get overpriced paint protection etc... I was really impressed.

Mine (if it ever arrives) doesn't have it either (dealer in VA). Just remote start, cross bars on the rack and the chrome exhaust tip. I didnt want the pull out tray anyway, so I was happy with that set of options. It does seem that the majority of them have it anyway.

seems like the SF Bay Area is flush with trd pro cements rite now. 5 dealers just sold cements within the last month. City Toyota sold 2, Vallejo sold 1, SF Toyota sold 1 and Antioch sold 1. Not including the one you picked up in Novato

City also has a pro in white incoming early sept, according to Abdul.

I had one on order at MSRP down at a dealer in Indio California since April but lack of updates as to what was going on and I know this is the last batch of 4Runners coming in Cement, I panicked and paid the 1k but you know what? Like I said I am happy with the truck and no regrets.

Just to clarify, they told me they(Dealer in Indio, Ca) ordered me one but couldn't provide me with info like what options it has, delivery date or VIN. Seems like a lot of you guys that ordered one got info such as delivery date location and progress reports, I got nothing. I had a feeling I was just on a list and if one came in they would call me.
