Great choices. The MT is a solid find. I would probably still have my taco if I had the MT. The auto is a dog with the new 3.5.

Went yesterday to get my TRDP. Dealership would not come down from MSRP and they were trying to screw me on my trade in so I walked out. So if anyone is looking for a 2018 TRDP in Super White, contact Toyota of Victoria.

Me & my husband both drove it. I loved it, he wasn't impressed. Giving up on the TRDP for now. Will continue my search, just not at that dealership.

Getting one at MSRP is actually pretty good. In regards to the trade, have you tried to sell it outright or gotten a guaranteed purchase price from KBB dealers? With the KBB deal, it is generally offered lower than what the buyer who contacts you is willing to pay so you an easily negotiate them up.

Yeah, that's what I told my husband, but he said there was no way he was letting me pay MSRP. The dealership called back about an hour ago and offered me $20,000 for my trade instead of the $16,500 & $18,000 they offered yesterday. But their staying firm on MSRP. :whipping2

Unfortunately, almost everyone pays MSRP (or more) unless you know someone...

Agreed, when I was shopping for mine. If I could have gotten one at MSRP I would have bought that instead of the TRD OR that I got. In California, if you get one at MSRP you can easily make $5K by selling it now or next year. Every dealership I talked to is marking them up quite a bit because they know they will still sell it easily.

Too bad then.....I guess your husband doesn’t want you to have a 4R Pro. If that new value for your trade is in the ballbark on KBB or Edmunds then you guys are letting a fair deal go down the drain. I got a little off MSRP on my deal, but expecting a lot off or something close to invoice is just a pipe dream. Hopefully you can work on your husband a little more....

Just echoing what everyone else said, you will not get a TRD Pro under MSRP unless you have some kind of big connection at a dealership. Someone will probably buy that one from Texas and drive it back to California. Each dealership only gets about one TRD Pro in per month and they don't budge on pricing due to the demand.

I agree with everything you'll are saying. I thought my husband was going to be like a kid in a candy store. But he just wasn't impressed, didn't understand why they wouldn't budge on the price. He didn't see the vehicle as being anything special or worth paying MSRP. Had they offered me $20,000 yesterday for my trade I would of said, "Where do I sign". That being said, after driving it I still want a 4runner, just probably won't be a TRDP. Back to searching now.....

Dealership just called again, went down a little below MSRP. My husband is talking to them over the phone now. Looks like I might be getting this after all. I wish they would of been like this yesterday, now I'm going to have to drive back again.

I hope you get it. If so, it means that your husband is a very good negotiator!

If not, check with Atkinson Toyota in Bryan/College Station. I bought my Pro Cement from them for a hair under MSRP and got what I needed/wanted on my trade. Chris Waller was my salesman and was great to work with.

Got my 2018 TRDP!!

Husband was able to strike a deal last night at the dealership. So I let him drive it the hour home. Took some pictures last night, but still trying to figure out how to upload pictures. When I click on Insert Image it says enter URL of your image. Will attempt to add some today.
