4runner TRD Pro

Husband was able to strike a deal last night at the dealership. So I let him drive it the hour home. Took some pictures last night, but still trying to figure out how to upload pictures. When I click on Insert Image it says enter URL of your image. Will attempt to add some today.

Welcome to the club. Now open the wallet/purse, hide the receipts and let the mods begin. This is just the beginning.

So am in the process of purchasing my first 4 runner. Have loved them for years but until now always had a company car. Currently planning on SR5 Premium because would like the beige interior, black exterior. Would like to candy it up a bit and plan to do lift kit, front bumper with winch and roof rack (husband and two teenage boys taking over those reins) My dilemma comes into play with tires and rims. The TRD Pro rims look better than any other I️ have found but my question is, will I️ look like a total poser with TRD rims on an SR5? Dealer says people do it all the time but of course he wants to sell the vehicle. Bottom line is the SR5 has more off road capability than I️ will ever use so it doesn’t make sense to buy the pro especially when I️ really want the beige interior. Welcome any thoughts, ideas and suggestions!!!

Not at all, if you read this board you will see that there are lot of people who hate on Pro owners, yet advocate for buying a non-Pro model and then will give you their step by step on how to make your non-Pro look exactly like a Pro.

Seriously, buy what you want and don't worry about what other people think.

Not at all! I have a TRD Off Road Premium which I have added every single cosmetic piece from a pro to. I wanted a pro but I also wanted a sunroof. This way I get the best of both worlds and I can do any suspension that I want.

My motto is to do whatever makes you happy (as long as it is not illegal or unethical which does not apply is this case).

My only suggestion is take your time in thinking out what mods you want. No need to rush to do everything all at once.

Good point. After time had passed, I did have regrets about things like wheels as I think the "pro look" is getting to be too common in my area.

Glad to see another girl with a TRD Pro in Houston.. I traded in my wife's CTS-V for this.. so far we both love it

Hello all, I am new here. I would post a new thread but it won’t allow yet.

Currently I own a 2015 Highlander Limited. I am interested in a 2018 4Runner TRD Pro. Yes, I completely understand these 2 vehicles are very different!! We also own a Tundra TRD and my family member also had a 4Runner a while back!

Is the 4Runner still ok for a daily driver? I drive about 25 miles each way to work. I also understand that the 4Runner will not have many of the luxuries that my Highlander has. Looking to go a bit more rugged, hence exploring the thought of getting a 4Runner. Just afraid it will be to much like a truck???

Thoughts?!

I drive a ton more than you(not a contest) and this is my daily driver. Prinsu rack ordered and on the prowl for a winch/bumper combo.

Traded my ‘15 Q7 in for my ORP and I love it. Every car will have its own creature comforts but I realized a fancy key fob, memory seats or WiFi in the car can’t replace the things I can do with this truck. To each their own but this vehicle is a total excuse to spend more time outdoors, do more trails, camp more, go to the beach more and really enjoy the truck.

I installed Icons and it drives great, not that it didn’t before. Does it cruise at 90mph well like the Q7, no, but I didn’t buy it for that. The vehicle is a dinosaur in design but it works, it lasts, and you can mod the hell out of it. Just be aware the vehicle purchase doesn’t stop the spending. This message board is a ATM for the wallet but, hell, it sure is fun to play with the truck and take it outdoors.

Don’t think twice, don’t look back. Holler if you need anything.

Thank you so much!!! I bit the bullet and got a ‘18 TRD Pro! I hope I enjoy it!!! Really looking forward to a few mods, nothing to major as I trade-in cars every 3 years or so. But I’ll spruce it up a little!!! Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this thing!!!

Do you know what kind of steps these are?? Looking for something for my '18 TRD Pro :)

They look like Nfabs!! I have Tyger bars on my Pro. Bought them from amazon. Great price and they look good and also the finish is nice in them. They help from getting door dings. I would post a pic by my pics are showing upside down.

Not sure I follow the suspension comment. I have a TRDP and can do any suspension I want as well.
