Again it's his money but IN MY OPINION, paying over MSRP is dumb. It's a Trail with an appearance package. You can buy a Trail (off road now) for thousands less and put on a ton more aftermarket parts and have a much better vehicle IN MY OPINION. So the only thing you won't have is the fancy paint and you can probably get the vehicle wrapped for around $4K. Add $3K in said aftermarket parts and you will be right at about the price of a stock PRO. This is the last time I say all this (have said it many times in many threads) because every time I voice my opinion like this someone on here gets butt hurt. It's just ridiculous. Facts are facts and you can have a better vehicle with aftermarket parts for less money than a PRO...Another crazy part is people are paying for all the extra stuff on a PRO and then turn around and replace all the stuff they paid extra for!!!... So they basically paid $7K for fancy paint........and paying over MSRP for any vehicle IN MY OPINION is being dumb with money. :spider:
....but, but, the resale factor is real Wally...not when you pay over MSRP dude!
Seems like pretty much everything you said holds true for just about any specialty vehicle. Rarely is there any thing about it that you couldn't do better with aftermarket parts and likely cheaper. That said, the off roads out there that I've seen with the Pro appearance package end up just about as much as the Pros. I'm not paying over MSRP for a Pro and if the two are withing a couple grand of each other, I'm certainly going for the exclusivity of the Pro.
