4th and 5th gen springs interchangeable?

Hi,

do you guys know if the rear springs on the 4th gen are interchangeable with the 5th gen? i need springs that can handle extra load for a lot of accesories and luggage but dont want any lift and i think ome895e would do the trick but they are for the 4th gen, i want to fit rear 2.0 or 2.5 icons.

895E will work on 5th gen . Supposedly 1.5" of lift.

Yep , 895E's will fit and and as Falls said give 1 1/2" lift and are reported to have a pretty firm ride.

Another option for you since you said you didn't want a lift is to airbag it.

when i load up the truck, i lose about an inch of ride height, and i feel its unsafe on bumpy highway roads like we have here ( i am in Bogota, Colombia) its so heavy and roads are so bad i bottom out the suspension from time to time. having this in mind, what would you think the truck will hanlde like with the ome895e?

i think you have the right idea getting some heavy duty shocks to go along with the firmer springs. the stock shocks, IMO, aren't going to be able to damp enough.
