Ya i tried using the same spot that the OP used and also the other spot for the cig lighter and i made sure to put the fuse that was in that spot into the adapter...

as far as i can tell i have it grounded and its plugged into the fuse panel... it just doesnt turn the radar det. on...

ill have to find my phone charger and see if that works in it...

Also, you may want to try switching the "add a fuse" adapter around the other way. They are picky about which way you insert them. I had the same problem with the last one I used for hard wiring my RD & when I switched it around, it worked! May not be the problem, but thought I would mention it.
