My wife's sub blew today and need to replace it with another one. She doesn't want a sub setup, just a replacement sub. She has a 05 Limited JBL system. I need help with a suggestion of a aftermarket 8" sub that will fit perfectly (both the holes to mount the speaker line up and the depth of the speaker (if possible) and need to know which color cables from the factory harness to connect to which aftermarket speaker terminal. If I read correctly, the JBL sub is a dual voice coil sub. I would need to know what ohm speaker to get. Should it be dual voice coil? If there is a known aftermarket speaker available that will work ,I would appreciate a model number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
