OME 283 and OME 295e. Bilstein 5100

Caster on RIGHT: 3.4
Caster on Left: 3.0

My LCA control are seized on LEFT.
Replaced the LCA on RIGHT side. Original caster was 1.9 on RIGHT.
You dont need UCA for mild lift.

3 months of settling.
2.00" in REAR
1.40" On driver side
1.55" on passenger side.

I have the Daystar spacers on my 2008 SR5. In my opinion, they stiffened up the ride compared to stock. I thought the stock suspension felt a bit "carlike." I like the new feel. I suppose it's the stiffness of the neoprene. Anyone else experience this?

Please share your Opinions and Experience with these lifts Options:

Option 1:
Bilstein 6112, w/ 5160 on rear, Medium springs,
w/ SPC Upper control arms.

Option 2:
Old Man Emu 2.5" Suspension

OME95PF5 w/ Nitro Upper control arms.

Compare and contrast for my decision.
Questions welcome.
Objective is to have an all around versatile suspension.

Quick question for anyone who knows their stuff.

I'm looking at getting a slight lift for my '08 v6 SR5 4WD, and I'm trying to figure out what I should end up going with. My initial plan was to just get 5100's in the front, set at 1.75" to level out, but now I'm leaning towards getting the FJ Moog springs too.

Has anyone bought from rock auto? They don't list the Bilstein 5100 (24-239370), but they do have whats called a B8 5100 (24-196499). It still says ride-height adjustable, but with it being a different part number, would it still fit a 4th gen? It says it fits a 2010-2014 FJ and a 2010-2019 4runner.

Go for springs. Lift the rear too, otherwise you will have reversed rake (with front lifted at 1.75")

Bushings will be slightly different.

Wheel Spacers Needed?

Hi,

Wheel spacer question. I currently have a '06 Sport with front leveling spacers on stock xreas that will be deleted in maybe a year. I am getting new tires done in 3 weeks on some new wheels (17") that have a -10 offset. Trying to figure out if I will need wheel spacers or not. Currently looking into 265/275 tires sizes. Any feedback would be awesome, thanks!

What size front lift??? If you're looking for wheel spacers, this is what you want.

Bilstein is having a sale on the 5100's

Bilstein Height adjustable front and matching 5100 Rear shocks

If I set the front at 2.5" and the rear at 2" and combine with OME coils (885 front and 895) would I have any complications? I'll be deleting the XREAS when I install the lift I choose.

Thanks for the response. So if I go with those OME springs I need to set both front and back shocks at 0 or just the front?

Are the adjustments for getting lift with factory springs?

Rear suspension help

Hey guys been browsing around trying to find more info on quality rear suspension with no clear awnsers. I have saved up to buy new coilovers for my 06 4Runner and for the front I'm leaning towards Kings vs the icon stage 2. Im replacing my current Bilstein 5100's my question is what should I rock in the rear.

My neighbor put the icon stage 2 kit on his 5th gen 4runner and said I could have his rear trd pro Bilsteins with res. Probably will get a new spring if I go that route.

A coworker who has rocked Kings for years has persuade me to go with them. And to just replace the Bilsteins in the rear.

So another question is are rear shocks/suspension as important in the rear. should I just spend the extra and get some new 2.0s for the rear.

Any tips or feedback would be appreciated.

Also , I will be adding a total chaos UCA when I pull the trigger.

wow.... completely overwhelmed by all this info.... I can't (ok shouldnt) create an all new thread so I will ask you guys here what is best for my situation so any feedback would be great as I'm really new to all this...

I have a 2005 SR5 V6 with 180K on her. I'm thinking the original shocks are still on. Its a ROUGH ride especially here in IL where the roads are absolutely horrible. I would like to get a new set up and I've been doing some reading. The Bilstein 5100's sound pretty nice and arent silly money. I'm doing no off-roading in this truck (on purpose) and I'm a tall guy. I honestly wouldnt mind a 2" lift just to make it easier getting in/out for me. Of course they always looks cooler with a little more height on them too.

Overall I would just like a nice comfortable ride as this is a kid hauler too. The lift would be cool but not 100% necessary. I would also like to know exactly what I would need. I would rather find a deal on something and then take it to my guy to install. I don't know enough to do it myself at this point.

Any suggestions would be great!!!!

Where I'm getting conflicting info on this subject is what I need to get exactly.

I believe my '07 has a shock and spring suspension system if I'm right? If not, I don't mind removing the struts.

I also would like to level it while I'm at it, so I was thinking a daystar leveling kit. Like a 1.5" in the front a 1" in the rear.

Would all this information line up, and would this work? Also would the stock springs be okay to keep or should I get OME, if so what size should I be looking for?

[MENTION=436216]smcallaway[/MENTION], something to keep in mind...you may know this but a spacer that provides 1” in lift will only be 1/2” thick b/c of the suspension geometry. IIRC, Daystar Is the only manufacturer that doesn’t account for this in product descriptions. So if you buy a 1” Daystar spacer, you will get 2” of lift. Just wanted you to be aware so you don’t learn it the hard way as some people here have through getting more lift then they expected.
