4th Gen. V6 Spark Plugs

Ok so I no longer have a warranty, since I'm at 62k. I don't want to get the V-Powers this time, I'm tired of changing them so soon. I'm think of a few differnt ones:
NGK - G Power
NAPA Part # NGK 7092

NGK - Iridium IX
NAPA Part # NGK 3764

Denso SK20HR11 - U-Groove


Denso IKH20 - Iridium

Will get prices tomorrow hopefully, if everybody is open before noon. What do you guys think?

I also hit 60k a few months ago and switched it out with the Denso IKH20 Iridium. Definitely worth it since it's good for 100k. Changing the plugs on the passenger side is a breeze after detaching the air intake, but on the driver side, it's pretty cramped. I had to remove 2 support brackets in order to access the plugs.

I only have to remove one support bracket on the drivers side. I have small hands and use a few extensions vs. one long one so I get more flexibility. It only takes me about 35 - 40 minutes from start to finish.

Feel free to try these plugs although I would stick with the OEMs. Mis-fire detection (MIL) will alert you immediately if a plug problem. You're not going to get any power or mileage improvements from other plugs. Long life plugs are good if servicing is difficult.

Changing the plugs in the v-6 is relatively easy and, as stated previously, requires an upper bolt removed from one bracket with its lower bolt loosened.

Its not that it's hard, it's easy as checking the tires. It's the point that they don't last long at all. Others have said that the improvement is little, not dramatic. I'm not really OEM sort of person. Only the oil filter and air filter I get are OEM. There are better spark plugs than OEM ones. If there was a significant problem with using other plugs, such as on the 3rd gen then obviously I would stick to OEM.

Ok so I got some NGK G-power platinums, but found out the reach wasn't enough, I need nearly 1" and the NGK was 3/4". I found this odd. anyways, any idea where i can get those denso's?

I got my Denso IKH20 Iridium plugs from sparkplugs.com and as I remember now, I actually only had to detach one of the two support brackets.

I changed the sparkplugs on my T4R two days ago. I go to turn on the engine and the car starts to shake and the check engine light comes on. I'm like.... what did I just brake? So I stand there wondering what to do and I realize that I didn't plug back in the last spark plug. So I plug it back in and disconect the battery to reset the light. Everything back to normal! That gave me a scare for a second but on the other hand I have brand new spark plugs and it only cost me like $40. I also noticed that the milage has improved. I love DIY.
