4th gen wheels on 3rd gen tire/lift advice

All,

I have a 99 runner with the wheels and tires from a 2006 runner. The tires are needing replaced so I was wondering how large I could go without a lift

I've also been throwing around the idea of lifting it. I'll only hit minor trails as I cannot afford to be breaking things. I mostly just want a more aggressive stance and a set of all terrains. I've been looking into toytec lifts. If I do it I want to do it right and not throw off angles or mess anything up as I plan to keep this truck for the rest of its life. How big of tires could I get on the 2006 runner sport wheels?

Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

This is a great thread about lifts. I can be a little overwhelming at first, but give it a look. It gives you many different options of lifts. It's pretty detailed, so feel free to ask questions there. Tons of information about parts from other vehicles that'll work.

I must say, the wheels look pretty good!

I had 265/70/17s on it. They're 31s so a little larger than stock size but no rubbing. When you get it finished, come back to KY and visit LBL.
