4th vs 5th Gen - Legroom

What is the real scoop with legroom? I had a 4th gen, I've been test driving later 4th gens and new 5th gens, and I'm looking for real world impressions of how much legroom these have? I've found that the published dimensions don't really mean much for any vehicle.

Dimensions mean everything my friend. Those are the only absolute non biased black and white information you will get. People are different and are built different. For this you have to test drive and figure it out for yourself. There is no good answer here except yours.

There is more leg room (in my opinion) in the back seat of my 2014 compared to my 2008. I am 6'2 so I have the driver's seat all of the way back. In 2014, Toyota put knee indentions in the back of the front seat to add leg room which I think is great. What they got rid of though is the handles on the side posts that help people step up and get into the back seat.
