5100's/TRD Setup Help

I'm looking into the front setup and I'm trying to settle on the Tundra 5100s/TRD Coils but somethings holding me back. I'm looking to get 2.5" of lift in the front. WheelersOffRoad's website says the strut setup should give me 0-2.5" of lift depending on the settings. I'm assuming that the top perch would give me 2.5" of lift but I read somewhere that having it at the top perch would compromise ride quality. Is this true and does it really ride like shit? Is it better just to set it at the lowest settings and add top spacers? Which would ride better 5100/OME 881 vs 5100/TRD Coils

I'm running 5100s with TRDs on the bottom perch up front and 906s on the back. I got an almost exact 2" from it. I can't remember who said it, but I do remember it being said to not run it past the 3rd/middle (with Tundra 5100s).

I've got the Tundra TRD coils and the tundra 5100's. Set at the lowest perch I've got ~2.5" of lift over stock (tired suspension height). Looks great and rides well. I've got the 890's in the rear with just enough rake to sit level when loaded down. I haven't installed a diff drop and have been fine as well *just keeping an eye on the CV's for now*

Lots of people do tundra 5100's/TRD on the lowest perch and 906's or the second perch with 890's. Google search will give you tons of threads. That's how I came to my conclusion.
