5th gen buyer's remorse?

Having recently (less than a month) purchased a 2011 5th gen limited, I think I am having buyer's remorse of not getting the trail edition instead. For my practical purpose and use, the creature comforts and abilities of the limited suits me just fine. But, there is some sort of magnetic pull, lust if you will, for the trail edition, namely the body styling and the off-road capabilities (which I would probably use once in a blue moon, if that). I do have the means to trade in the limited for the trail edition, but is the grass really greener on the other side or am I lusting after something I have no business in getting? :toilet3:

You could do something like this to the Trail, or you could by the trail trim kit like Harper7 did. I may sell you my stock trail roof rack instead of the limited blinged out one.

No Remorse on my end, I added custom leather and remote start and it came with Nav. That was the hardest part, finding a Trail with Nav and the 15 speaker sound system. Once I lifted it and got 285's under it it made me feel like I am not just another Volvo drivin Soccer Mom.

I've seen silver TE once and looked very nice. So I felt that maybe I should have waited and got one instead of SR5. But then I thought - well, I got leather, parking sonar, and place to put sunglasses. And tenh I think about Limited and I want full time 4x4 and autolights from it. Maybe dual A/C too.

So my remorse is that I should have had another $10-$15 K and then I could buy Limited, convert it to look like TE like Harper did and add parking sonar and read locker to it. That would be my ideal vehicle.

Same here. I was trying to be good and save $$.

Nah, I don't need, that. I don't need that either, etc. etc.

Now I wish I would have just laid out more cash and got the limited. But, my son will (hopefully) be going to college in..........six years. So I may give him the SR5 and then get a 6th gen lmited. Gotta think ahead. lol

Do trail edition owners feel remorseful about their choice? They seem to be a pretty satisfied group thus far.

Nope. I love it. Money well spent.

Since most people spend 90% of their time inside a 4Runner in an urban area, I would think the crawl control and multi-terrain selector on the trail edition rarely gets used. So I'd vote for the Limited.
