[EDIT] Exchanged messages with vendor and 1) the 5A fuse is correct as supplied, and 2) an updated instruction vid is published stating 5A and not 15A. [/EDIT]
It's been a couple months so let's add another post or two to the thread!
I actually have my grill lights installed using the under hood fuse block approach. It's an "add a fuse" system plugged into a 10A location. Works just fine.
What I don't know is electric systems, at all.
My "add a fuse" is in a 10A slot per the instructions. The two spots on the "add a fuse" have the 10A fuse (which was originally provided in the fuse box) and a 5A fuse (orange in color) that came from the vendor in the "add a fuse" wiring. The vendor installation video says "15A" fuse...... This is the discrepancy I am trying to resolve.
Am I preparing for a fire, frequent shorts, or what? Should I swap the 5A for a 15A, or is the 5A fine? I ask because I've been told that going too large a number on these fuses can also be bad if the system wasn't designed for it (so don't put a 30A in there for example).

You want a fuse just over the rated current draw. That fuse is your short circuit protection. Going too high of a fuse will defeat its purpose.
