Installed "Raptor" grille lights

This thread was a huge help for me! I installed some Amber LEDs in the grille, wired up to the side marker lights. Nice cheap & easy mod!

Yeah they bolted down into the factory grill slots perfectly! really easy install, thanks for helping me out with the wiring!

Bought these "bolt" LEDs for $5 each. Part no. 12B-Y-B "yellow" color even though the light is actually amber. Really good quality for the price. They bolt directly into the grille slots on the 4R.

Where to tap?

Hey all. Are you tapping into the line directly going into the bulb of your choosing (low beam, high beam, marker, etc)? Or are you tapping in back at the fuse panel with an add-a-fuse?

Did you use a T-tap? Or cut the wire and reconnect with a sealed butt connector?

Got mine installed at a local shop...no zip-ties. Project-LED continues, interior lights done, back up bulb complete. Low beam, High-DRL and fog lights from XD expected by mid next week.

Thanks. Yup same ones. They created a plastic backing/bracket, screw goes in the backing not grill. This is from 3-4 inches away, iPhone pic ...
