5th Gen Serpentine Belt - Toyota = Bando

Since the cold weather started creeping in, I've had irregular idle and squeal on startup in the mornings for a few seconds. Upon inspection over the weekend I have some cracks and frays in the Serpentine belt. This has been documented in the 4th gen section and on the FJ forums, but I wanted to post here for everyone's reference.

I found this post over at the FJ forum:

Toyota shows the OEM part no as 90916-A2015 with msrp +/- $101.73
Bando part no 7PK2150 on amazon for $11.03

• 7PK2150 = 2150mm (84.6 inches) (OP)

or

• 7PK2145 = 2145mm (84.4 inches) (Bando confirmed)

Bando also confirmed 2145mm for my '13 T4R. How much difference can 5mm make considering there is a dynamic tensioner involved?

Already had the 2150mm ordered, but just ordered the 2145mm to be safe. Will install the 2145mm next weekend and report back. Will return 2150 if 2145 is kosher...

PS - My '13 T4R is closing in on 120K. Still a beautiful ride in every way!!!! It has required the least maintenance (and repairs = NONE) of any vehicle I've ever owned. I'm 42 and drive a lot!!! ('13 with 120K - duh!)

Those bando belts seem like a good deal but I've always had good luck with Goodyear Gator back belts.

I just don't see why someone needs to spend $100 on a belt that is so easily accessible especially if the OEM belt is just a re-branded version of one of the aftermarket ones.

I went with the 7PK2150, but I don't think it makes any difference other than it may require a little extra elbow grease to get the 7PK2145 on the tensioner pulley.

Sorry I haven't reported back! The Bando 2150 came in as a totally different length (was labeled incorrectly as a 2150, but was much shorter). I haven't had a chance to sawp it yet (didn't want to try the 2145 without the 2150 on-hand).

So it appears the Toyota OEM part # is a 2150mm long belt? Looks like I'll try to order another Bando 2150 and try this again soon

I got my belt from Amazon. They canceled my order once but I finally got it in hand. Length is as stated when roughly measured with a "meter" stick. About $12.

and also looking at:
Bando Online Parts Catalog

I noticed that BOTH of these sites lists the OEM part as "99367H2150".
However, this Toyota part number has been superseded with "90916A2015".

So, in conclusion:

"99367H2150" = "Bando 7PK2145"
"90916A2015" = "Bando 7PK2150"

And the latest Toyota part number for the 5th gen Serpentine Belt is "90916A2015". So, I would recommend getting the "Bando 7PK2150".

I hope this clears things up!

I had a Bando belt for about a year and it started squeaking. So I went back to OEM for $50.

Sorry to bring back the old thread back. Sounds like someone had issue with Bando making noise etc and went with OEM. Who makes the OEM one? I thought Bando was the OEM. Does the Toyota OEM one have any brand name? I want to just go with OEM one with peace of mind.
