Anyone have theirs replaced yet? The dealership loaned us a Sequoia back on May 31st. I have called the dealer a few times with no answer as of yet.

You've had a loaner sequoia for a month and half while your car sits at the dealership waiting for a replacement?

I received my notice of notice to come a couple of days ago. 2010 TE. The note said to not use the front passenger seat. Yeah, right,.

This is the norm. A Honda in my family sat for just over 2 months. There were over 300 vehicles on the lot for the same reason. Plus a few that would be longer due to hail and other damage that was sustained while the car was sitting and waiting at the dealership.

Local rental companies are having a blast.

Okki

Yep.

We were leaving for a Road trip the day I read about it online. I called Yota twice with no help. Called two dealers. The second dealer hooked it up in no time.

I think I would rather drive my own vehicle and just take a chance rather than let it sit at the dealership for months on end.

I played this game with GM before when they were updating Onstar modules. They wanted me to leave my truck in order for them to even order the new module. I refused to do that and retrieved the module numbers myself for them to order it. They called when it supposedly came in but when I got there it actually wasn't in and they insisted I leave the truck. That didn't happen and I never got that stupid Onstar module updated (I never used it anyway).

I know I know. Ultimately we use the passenger seat everyday and I have my two boys in car seats in the back. The chances of something happening is very minute but if something did happen I could not forgive myself. On a side note the Sequoia is nice lol.

My 2013 TE is clear

The latest recall update is through 2011 only. It is the combination of exposure to high humidity and/or temperature and time, the latter being the reason for not recalling all years immediately given that the supply of replacements is a problem. They are trying to replace the older bags first.

Toyota has said that the 2015 and 2016 4Runner use the same faulty passenger airbag, so expect to see the scope of the recalled model years increase in coming years.

Still have the Sequoia. Oh yeah the dealership flooded this weekend. Water all the way up to the windshield in the 4Runner. Awesome!
