I thought the KO2's gave better than average for rain evacuation throughout the tread life. Compared to the Toyo AT 2's for example, I think the AT2's were even in the beginning. When the AT2's hit halfway point, it became a landslide win for the KO 2's...

In my opinion, one of the AT 2's features become its down fall at the halfway mark. The connecting "tie-bars" on the outer lugs end up trapping the water and those same "tie-bars" don't allow the water to be expelled from the sides, only the front and rear of the tread. The KO2 does not have this issue as the tread area is open through out the tire, albeit a tight pattern.

Love the BFG KO's, got 63,000miles out of a set with 5k rotations. Great in snow/slush and wet weather. Not a mud crawler, so can't vouch for that application.

This morning I replaced my set of KO2s at 40k miles because of some other stuff I was working on. They still have over 1/3 of the tread left so I imagine they would make it to 60k. But the new ones are so smooth and quiet. And now I've got some good trailer tires if I ever get a trailer.

Sorry I missed this Throwback. Actually my tires looked very even, and I still have a worn one and a brand new one for when I do my winter swap. Below are the pics of the worn tire, and I ran them at 38-40.

I am in sales, hands on training and demo's for the outdoor industry.

I purchased some 255-75-17 Toyo mt's, and I figure I'd burn through them by the end of December and replace with KO 2's again for the better winter performance. I have some more extreme places I need to get to this Fall..... :- )

So far I gained over a 1 mpg and more tire noise, lol..... I got 406 miles out of a tank of fuel today.

I had 35/12.5r20 Toyo MT's on my 2013 F250. With about 50k miles on them, I took them to Discount Tire ready to buy a new set. The guy came out and looked at them and told me I had at least another 5k-10k out of them so to hold off. I sold the truck after 5k more miles and they could have easily gone a bit longer. About 6k of those miles were towing a 15k lb 42' toy hauler, and the F250 is WAY heavier with nearly twice as much power as the 4Runner.

With the right air pressure and rotation I wouldn't be surprised if you get the same mileage out of your MT's.

Needless to say, after my great Toyo MT experience with the F250 I was more than ready to keep with Toyo on the 4Runner and switched to the RT.

Regarding tire pressures, it's usually a good idea to run the fronts slightly higher than the rear due to the added weight from the engine to get even wear. In my F250 I usually ran my fronts 5 psi higher. In the 4Runner I run the fronts about 3-4 psi higher.

I have 275's Load E KO2's and have right about 48,000 miles on them. Run them at 43 psi, and I have them rotated every 5k miles.

At most recent rotation they told me I'm at 7/32. Seeing as they come at 15/32, I'm pleased because I know I can get 60,000 miles out of them, if not more! Maybe 70,000?

Averaging 17.5 with steady combo of highway and city driving. No lift yet.
