I'll brother arriving either late next Sunday, or early Monday.

It will be my wife, my 4 year old daughter, my crazy hound dog, and I we'll be there around Ouray, Telluride, Montrose, Gunnison area for a week.

Man, we are working on one of our 1st Gens right now to take to summit, SAS, Bumpers, Tire carrier...But you Sir Own one of the top 3 1st gens I have ever laid eyes one.

See you at Summit I hope...Super nice rig....Let me know when I can buy it. :tongue:

We made it to Ouray! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and the trails
are great.

Well I did get to see you there, but both times you seemed pretty busy.

We did take one of our 1st gens and two 5th gen. Now we are starting another 1st gen and the first one still needs a few more things...roll cage, seats...little stuff..

It helped me decide on the next round of changes/modifications for mine.

I'll be installing this along with a 4.7 low range tcase, and bud built crossmember next week.

Do you have any body roll with the chevys in the rear?

Ive got the front sway bar removed also. If you keep in mind its not a car, you won't have any problems. The shocks on the rear, and their orientation makes a big difference. If you have them angled, their abilities to control and dampen are hindered, but allows them more travel at a lower overall length.

Did you drop the gas tank when you welded the front hangers on or just weld the holes?

Three sides plus the inside were welded. I didn't drop the tank.

Here are a couple pics from Uwharrie National Forest on Labor Day.

Did a little wheeling with my brother, dad, niece, daughter, and dog yesterday.

I installed the 4.7 t-case, and twin stick last week. Makes slow speed traversing of obstacles much easier. The twin stick allows me to have the hubs locked at the trailhead, and use 2wd low range, but only use the locked front when necessary.

It was nice not having to be a Jeep recovery vehicle after the last few trips out :biggrin2:
