906 Springs Rear No Front Lift

I have a set of 906 springs and have a set of 880's for the front coming in the mail probably next week. The issue is that I have to drive home this coming weekend and pick up my boat, and my rear springs are shot... I replaced the rear shocks about a month ago, and I am afraid that with the added weight of the boat, plus all of my other tools (250 lb) that the thing will bottom out and blow my shocks.

With that being said what I am wondering is if, with the added weight of the tools (250 lb) that this thing wouldn't have a wicked rake with a stock front end.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated, I am probably going to get a spring compressor from orielys after work and just try it if you guys don't have any ideas, but just let me know.

Makes a big difference what year you have. People run 906's with the stock '99 springs that came with 16-inch wheels just fine (slight rake). I may do this myself. 2000's are the lowest; those I don't know.

i have 906's in the rear of my 99 and it looks great IMO, theres a rake but its a cool one :bigok:

Should be fine especially with the extra weight.
No need for a spring compressor.
Just disconnect the sway bar and the lower shock mount. Then jack up each side they will slide in and out freely. Good luck.

The 906s will drop 1/2" with time, but then will settle. They make a big difference when towing IMHO due to the lack of droop in the rear as well as adding lateral stiffness.

881s are usually what most run in the front when pairing them up with 906s if they are not using 99s in the front:

Im running stock fronts with 906 rears on a 2001 and have been for a year. I have a good bit of rake but it handles great and doesnt look bad

They are in and not looking bad at all! With all the extra weight they are sitting about 23-22.5" from center cap to wheel well
