96-98 vs 99-01 Replacement Corner Lights

So long story short I melted my corner lights while doing my retrofit this last weekend and need to replace them. I found these two sets on ebay and want to know if the 96-98 corners would fit my 00? They are about 10 bucks cheaper and me being cheap likes that lol.

Looks like the mounting tabs and bulbs are different, just going off the picture though.

I am 90% that they will fit, BUT Not all clear corners are equal. Some are more white then clear, looks like the more expensive ones are the actually clear variety while the cheaper ones are diffused and not as clear.
I think the diffused corners will look ugly next to your nice new retrofit!

How did you melt the corners? Just so that I dont make the same mistake when I do mine....

I put them in the oven and started working on something else and noticed a weird smell about 30 minutes later.... They were already a little deformed from the first baking (they are really small and not designed for the kind of heat needed to take them apart). If you have to take them apart I would set your oven to the lowest temp possible (mine happened to be 200 deg) and not leave them in there for more than like 3-4 min and just slowly work that them...

Yea i saw that, but mine have the same tabs as pictured in the older ones.
