99-02 Headlights on my 97

As far as glass goes, are you guys talking about the headlight housing itself or the actual bulb???

The plastic headlight housing cover is not glass.

im not talking about the bulb, im talking about the clear/frosted front of the headlight unit, the part that the bugs smash into...

yes that is glass, ive broken them before. Talk about unluck, i thought you could pry the glass off from the housing after removing those 2 metal clips. So i put pressure on a flathead there and started trying to wedge it down in there, and the glass chipped. The chip flew up in my face and lodged inside my nostral and my nose immidiatly started to bleed. Then i had to pull it back out cutting my nose more. Thats probly one of the oddest injuries ive gotten messing with my 4runner.

but yes oem, aftermarket, 96-98, 99-02, frosted, not frosted, they are all glass.

I'm sorry but that's hilarious. BTW you have to bake the headlights to seperate the cover from the housing.

yea this was all pre-that everyone wanted to get into their housing stage. This was about a year ago
