99 Tall Coils Outcome - Need Help with Sag (before & after shots)

Hello my fellow 4runner enthusiasts!

I haven't been here in a while because of medical school (just started last week--ended up going to UT Medical Branch instead of A&M Med School FYI). So anyway, as some of you may know, I had purchased a used set of 99 tall coils (front and rear) and new Tokico shocks 6 months ago and recently had the time to get them installed. Turns out, I did gain inch(es) in the front (roughly 1 1/2) and about quarter of an inch in the rear. Thus, my car has a rake (higher in the front than in the rear). Although I wouldn't mind this look, since I did headlight retrofits, I can't adjust them. Consequently, I am high beaming everyone on the road. It really sucks.

Here are the numbers:
Front Driver - 19.4 inches AFTER - 21 inches (+1.6)
Front Passenger - 19.5 inches AFTER - 21.5 inches (+2.0)
Rear Driver - 20.4 inches AFTER - 20.75 inches (+.35)
Rear Passenger - 20.75 inches AFTER - 21 inches (+.25)

*All Measured from center of hub cap to fender (did this because some people have bigger wheels so this would give an idea of actual "lift")

So now comes my question, would it be alright if I added 1 1/2 daystar spacers to the rear? Or would that be a bad idea? I know people advise to stay away from spacers but I already tried the factory method (by going with tall 99 coils) and I hate the sag. I was thinking about going with these:

Please let me know what you guys think! I wouldn't mind having the rear sit a little higher since I at least wouldn't be high beaming people 24/7.

If i were you i would get some OME 906's they are about $190 shipped, but yeah the spacers will work if you want, but the right way is new coils

I'm running 99 tall coils with a 1.5" spacer in the rear. But I also have a 1" on my fronts and the are the oem 98 's. I really like the look of it, slight rake in the back. Check out my build thread and you'll see the difference.

1.5" spacer will be fine in the rear. I have about 1" on the left for level compensation.

Just wonderin, do you plan to get bigger wheels and tires? Shame to see your effort in lifting it go to waste with those puny things.

Strange. If all of the coils are new, I don't know why they are different heights like that. Are you sure the front coils are properly seated?

How much weight do you have in the back of the 4runner? If you are loaded heavy, you may want to think about some stronger coils or taller LC coils.

Can you run spacers with the rear coils? Sure.

If you want to keep the factory feeling suspension, just get a pair of 1.5" rear spacers.

Just cut off the back end of your 4runner. Then it will be lighter and the rear will sit highter

okay cool thanks, spacers it is. yeah man, I feel you! those "puny" things will be gone once they wear off some more. duratracs are in my near future (31x10.5r15)

yeah, they are not new, but used I got from a member here. I don't have much weight in the back, just the roof rack.

thanks man! I double majored in biology and biochemistry molecular biology (nerd talk). I am interested in orthopedics and anesthesiology, but I'm sure I shall change my mind a million times! When are you applying? Be sure to apply to schools in Texas, they are cheap (even some schools, like mine, will give you instate tuition price). good luck!

I think the 906s would the way to go for ya. I would also suggest some new wheels.

Did ya apply to Baylor? Their MBA for hospital administration is #1 in the US.

The first year of med school is always the hardest, so I would think you will not have too much time to drive anyway. Congrats. I took the MCAT with an ex GF while helping her study and got a 31. She got a 34 and went to the University of Virginia, but only had a 3.4 at Richmond University, so she needed a good score. She is a neurologist now in DC.

The reason I asked was because I would guess that they has already sagged and there wasn't something wrong with the install.
