What did it cost for the hatch & carrier, if you don't mind me asking. I really want to do this at some point. Are they able to find one the same color as your 4runner?

The parts and shipping just came around 750 and the hatch was originally blue but I bet they can find one in japan the same color it just would take a lot longer to get mine was in BC and it took only a week to get
PROCOMP 7036 17x9

Wow that was some amount of work to be done to fit that carrier.. but the end result is what really matters. People oughta know how nice these Surf hatch and tire carrier truly is, how they are purposely built for our vehicles to start with....You're rig is one of a kind 4Runner indeed.

Alright here is a lil bit of my rack light build still not finished but getting there first of all imma thank redsonja (james) for all the welding!!
since i will never shorten my rack i decided to have it welded together
after alot of grinding and sanding it was time to prime it and get her ready for paint i was not too picky about it being perfect
while i had the primer drying i went out and bought some L bracket cut them up and paint aswell
next was to paint the whole rack before i just used a scotch brite pad and scuffed the surface so the paint will be all even and not original rola black and the new flat black the paint i used was a flat black by tremclad hopefully it will with stand alot of abuse
as you can see i just re used the old mounts
Now it is the part i will hate the most is doing a wiring harness the front bar will be controlled by a switch same with the side ones and the rear i was just thinking to wire it up to the reverse lights that's the only time i will ever use them

cut off my old rattled muffler and installed a new Dynomax Thrush glasspack muffler sounds soo much better ill post some vids of the sound later on!! i just have it clamped on for now too see if i like the sound

alright so more pictures to go about my led roofrack i was tempted to drill thru the roof but i decided not too so i just had the wirees go thru the rear hatch!!
and in this next pictures you can see how i hva my wires all hidden sorta
and as for my wireing to the batteries i just tucked it under the trim
As for the realys i did not want to have millions of wires running up to the front so all i did has use some double sided tape and tape it behind the plastic trim i think it turned out very nice

now it was time to tidy up the wireing on the roof rack
i added a few more zipties after this picture
if you guys are wonderin on any size demension for your mount i made a pre cut on cardboard an that one zigzag line is where i have the bend
and now my bluesae fuse box bracket and mounting this here took some time due to the hood i had to close re alighn the fuse box and breaker so it will not hit the hood
i decide to go with welding cable 2ga as it is VERY nice to work with and not hard and stiff like battery cables i just cut and soldered my own tips works like a charm.
And the finished product of the whole install on the mount

Hey Martin, Great build so far. Saw you have the bushwackers. They seem to look good on the runner. I'm thinking of doing some myself but haven't seen many people with them. I have the same SR5 chrome flares you had. Whats the width difference between the two sets? Were they pretty easy to install?

Thanks guys. And as for the. USB wackier they were super easy to install the only thing I did diffrent than what the manual said was for the rear doors to drill into ,I just used double sided tape and it is still holding up from 3 years ago. The measurements are a lot I believe the old SR5 ones were only 1" and these bushwhacked ones are 3".
