unless i put the temp to "LO", my a/c is blowing warm air. once i bump the temp up to 65, 66, etc. it starts blowing regular air.
anyone else have this problem?

thanks. i did search after i made this post.
ill double check underneath the steering wheel tonight. ill also treat the a/c like a home a/c instead of turning it to 66 and expecting it to blow 66.
i did install my scion t1809 2 weeks ago, so i might have did something wrong there.

i've had a problem thats opposite...unless i turn my heat settings to 25+ degrees celcius (80's F), the air is not even luke warm. anyone had this problem?

I'd guess cabin temperature sensor is disconnected... had the same thing happen after mine was in a wreck. While running diagnostics/etc they either accidentally disconnected the cabin temp. sensor or did so on purpose and forgot to hook it up. Under steering wheel, right side of dash, look for the little vent dealio, see if the sensor behind is unhooked.

Possibly he might have accidentally disco that thing. From his sig he has a scion radio, the panel below the steering wheel is a must to be removed for easy access to the stereo.

I had this exact problem and finally found the solution which was cheap
! Someone installed a remote start and disconnected the temperature sensor which is to the right of the steering wheel and lift of the AC controls (down low) - you will notice you have a few vented holes in the plastic. Take this trim off below the steering wheel and ensure your sensor is attached, or it may need replaced. When I had this disconnected, I had the same issue, it would only blow cold if the temperature was set to "low" and hot any where else. Thanks!

I had this problem and the cause was the cabin air filter. I put a new one in and the ac was good again.
AC Blows Hot Air After Recharge
I have a 2006 4Runner V6 and the AC blows hot air. I have had it recharged twice and they say they don't see any leaks, but it will blow cold air for a couple of weeks after the charge, then slowly die and start to blow warm air. Is there a leak or can it be something else?

If they are just visually checking for leaks it could be so slow as to not be detectable. They should recharge with UV dye and check back for residue in a few days to see small leaks.
I had to go though this when I had exactly the same symptoms as you on a Focus I own. Turns out it was a very slow leak in the condenser.

The refrigerant they are using should already have dye in it as most shops/dealerships just do it out of habit.
At this point they may need to bust out a UV light and a "Sniffer" to find the leak, as it may be very small.

Do you mean the cabin air filter? This is tucked in behind your glovebox. There should be install/removal procedures in your owner's manual.

Perfect advice! Recently had my dash replaced by the dealer due to a recall. When I got it back, AC only worked on LO setting. Every other setting was high heat. After taking out lower dash as recommended, I saw the cabin temperature sensor just hanging. I connected it back and works like a charm.! Many thanks!!
