Oh you dont need a write up. Its all very simple. The window trim pieces literally just pop right off. For the cowel piece, you just remove the two wiper blades (one nut each) and then take out the six screws holding it in.

I finished color matching my fender flares yesterday and installed them today. It took forever, and still didnt come out the way I wanted. The color is good, but the finish isnt smooth. I wet sanded the primer with 400 grit before laying down the dupli color, but it still wouldnt go on smooth. Its got some orange peel. Ive said it before and Ill say it again, dupli color just isnt a good product. I wish rust oleum would sell color matched paint in a can.

But today I found out that a friend of mine has a nice hvlp system, and hes willing to let me use it for free! So Im gonna re-sand them and do a professional finish with a urethane base coat and clear coat.

Anways, I still like them 100 time better than the faded textured black they were originally.

190k miles!

I just went over 190k miles today! Its amazing how for many vehicles surviving to 190k is a big deal. For a Toyota 4Runner its just another day.

Congrats man! Crossing 102K soon myself. Already put about 4K on in about 4 months!

Thanks man. I think they look better on your color truck. Ive been thinking about painting mine black. But theyre in really good condition so Im afraid of the possibility of not liking the way they look painted, and then being stuck with them. Are you running spacers?

Plasti-dip them to see if you like them black. My wheels are plasti-dipped them spray painted and have been holding up great.

1.25" front and back. The truck was not drivable without. Im a silver fan, however when done right Black would be cool, check out LINYrunners black wheels. The sheen will tell the tale. I would do a satin finish, dont go gloss. Also think about some red in there somehow for contrast. Im also a big white letters out fan, i think your would look great with whites out. blcktpgsr pulled it off on his rig with bfg's.

Just refinished painting my grill. I had painted it about two years ago, but only painted the outside chrome portion, and it wasnt a color matching black. This time I got it about as close to professional as you can get with Duplic Color matching paint (which is not a good product to work with). Still to wet to put on. Will show before and after shots when I install it.







Once the clear coat dries I'll probably wet sand with 1000 grit, and then buff it to give it a mirror finish.

I had issues with the paint on my liscense bezel cracking, which I beileve was due to the urethane based paint I used to paint it the first time. So I got another one from a member here and painted it. After about 3 hours of 1000 grit sanding and buffing, it looks frickin awesome.
