So i recently purchased my 91 4runner, and have found some interesting "jimmy rig" work.
1. The cruise control works great, except when the headlights are on... then the cruise will not set. Only thing i could think of is that they tied into the left rear taillight wiring to get the trailer plug... would that do it?
2. The rear power window wouldnt work, so someone place 2 toggle switches in the little compartment in the back side and cut a bunch of the wires off the harness heading from rear to front of the vehicle. I am wondering if it just needed a cylenoid or something. I really want to restore the switch in the front as it is a pain to have to lean over the back seat and hold both toggles up or down to operate the window so that i can open the back, as i also have the model with the spare on back.
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated! :vader:
