Sliders are in. Won't be able to get to the install until the weekend. Now just waiting for the skids.

That looks awesome. My MetalTech sliders arrived next to the boxes. The packaging did not survive shipping, however all the paperwork and parts managed to not get lost.

That's not cool. Did you ask the driver what happened lol? I hope all of my hardware and paperwork is there. I haven't opened them up yet.

This is actually at my parent's house. I have all of my parts shipped to them as I live in an apartment complex. But yes, I'll probably be cutting the grass this weekend to help out before I do any installs lol.
 
looks like you are going to route I am. I think I have decided on OPOR Sliders and Bud Built skids. I will be real curious to know how far they stick out by the driver door and pant leg rubbing on dirty sliders....

Judging by the pictures on the Metal Tech website, I don't think they stick out too far as others I've seen in person. As far as dirtying pants...oh well. Pants are cheaper than replacing truck parts lol. If I do dirty my pants on the sliders, it'll just remind me of how much fun I was having that day lol.
 
I can't wait to see them on! Those will likely be the sliders I go with, since Metal Tech is within driving distance! Apparently the OPOR sliders are flatter and stick out a little more then the Metal Tech ones, and are better for steps as well.
 
Ive been trying to see pictures of the OPOR sliders on the 5th gens, as i am in the market for sliders as well.. Ive narrowed it down to either domello or OPOR's since i am trying to keep the costs down while maintaining quality..

Excited to see them on!
 
OPOR sliders on mine (don't ban me, dont' have a photo on this laptop) and they are awesome. As another posted stated, they do NOT stick out quite as far as some which keeps my pants from getting dirty. If you step on the slider more parallel as opposed to perpendicular they work great as a step also. And as another stated, my packaging didn't survive either. Unfortunately they arrived when I was out of town, and the UPS guy convinced my wife "hell, they're so heavy they can't be damaged". 5# mini sledge straightened out the one attachment bracket that was slightly bent. Don't know if UPS stress tests them by dragging them behind the big brown truck or what....all in all a great product though.
