Not enough to worry about. Remember that it has to have enough pressure to operate from one end of it's stroke to the other anyway. You are just moving that "center" a bit.
Got it. You'd still have a full range of movement, it's just that the lowermost articulation point would be slightly shortened, and the uppermost a bit longer (not a problem because the lift would compensate and prevent rub). Not really a big deal.
