A/T Tires made for Limited Wheels (265/60/20)

At least Limited owners have a option other then OEM tires now. But yes, they are definitely not cheap but hopefully other manufacturers will follow suit and drive the price down.

Pretty sure you have found the fabled Unicorn Chariot Tire. Congratulations on your discovery! This is also the same tire used on the vehicle that transports pigs to their flying competition...:flypig:

Priced them out with install and road hazard and total price came to about $1800.00. Total price for my wheel/tire combination on tire rack is $1844.00...decisions decisions

Would a 275/60/20 fit? If so you've got lot of options for really good AT's, including the BFG KO, Toyo ATII, and my favorite the Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Maz, the link you attached is to 275/60/20 which are priced lower, the actual 265/60/20's that we were looking at are priced more in line with what tirerack has.

I believe that size would require slight modification; the issue has been finding a A/T tire that the manufacture says fits a 7" wheel. Many of the guys running A/T tires on their stock limited wheels have tires that are technically too wide for the wheel per manufacturer's specs (min 7.5" wheel)

For that price... my plan is to just grab another set of wheels/tires (probably 17's that will hold a wider tire).

Cool, but if I had a Limited I'd just swap out the wheels and go with a nice aftermarket 17" wheel. I know it's a preference but IMO a 20" or larger wheel on an SUV is sort of like putting BFG ATs on a Nissan GT-R....

Well said grey ghost. Exactly what I did. The wheels and tires in 17 inch category are much less expensive and will do better off-road. Also there a ton of tire options available.

All I have to say is thanks to America's High Five for finding these tires. For those of us who want to keep our 20" wheels this is a great, although expensive, option.

Wheels and Tires

I priced out a set of Black Rhino rims with Cooper or Nittos and it 2100 out the door instead of just new tires. Rims that I like and better tires for on and off road.

Yes they are...point? There are endless amount of tires that will fit this now. I guess I am confused on what you are saying.

The stock 20s are 7.0 inches wide which allow for 3 different All-Season tires Bridgestone HL and the HT or the Geolander HT/S...yes people have placed wider tires on the 20x7 against the tire manufactors approval and are risking warranty voids and maybe even worse. Trust me, I understand the risk and know that people are not having any issues, but it is not for me to roll the dice and hope for the best.

This thread comes across as if this tire is approved for a 7" wide wheel. I'm just making sure nobody gets the wrong idea.

Getting this tire is practically the same as getting a 275/60/20 tire.

Sadly I think I'm gonna have to settle for some non AT tires for now.

The General Grabber HTS in 275/55/20 is actually approved for a 7' wide wheel (weird I know).
