A TPMS question

Well I robbed the TPMS sensors out of my OE wheels and tires but now need to but some back in those wheels to trade it in. I got four off Ebay and service kits but her's my question. Do I need to have a tire store do some sort of reset? Or can it be done DIY?

I believe this is a dealership deal. They have to make the truck's computer talk to the monitors.

I had the tire shop do mine... it is a two step process.

1. initialize or wake up sensors

2. key to vehicle

If you're trading it in, just give the dealership the sensors with the truck.

It won't cost them shit as part of their refurbishing prior to re-selling it vs your out of pocket costs.
