ABS Issue With Blistein 5100 lift

got it back and it is doing good. we are at the 2nd from the top position with the stock rear springs. so we will wait and see. my 4 year old says it a monster truck again so he is happy.

Installing my Bilsteins and 2 inch lift rear springs this weekend, esentially the same setup as you. I hope I dont have any issues. I will post my out come and final settings. I am installing 285/70/17 Duratracs.

I put the 285/70/17 Duratracs on but they rubbed too much so I went with the 265/70/17 and they still rubb but I still have a little more trimming to do. Hope you don't have the issue like me, I love the lift, ride, look and clearance it is perfect for us.

Finally installed my Bilstein Height adjustable front and matching 5100 Rear shocks, Rear 2 inch lift Toytec superflex rear coils. Took it to Firestone and had the alignment c/w. It rides great so far and I got lucky and didn't get crazy dash lights. My front is sitting at 37.5" both sides and my back is at 39.5" both sides. Figured with the front shocks set to 2.5 and the rear 2" rise coils it would be closer to level but I guess not. Install was easy except for the KDSS, which made everything just a tad tougher.

Ok so here is an update. After we put the stock rear springs on and set the front to the 2nd position on the shocks we have not had any issue that I know of. The issue is if we load the back with gear we have so much sag in the rear end the lights blind other drivers. I had a wild hair and asked the shop to reinstall the 2" springs and the issue came back. So they adjusted the front up to see what it would do. If you click the link you will see the issue. That's due to a bad zero point calibration. Quit accepting that the same dealership that has done it wrong multiple times is resetting it properly. Take it somewhere else or do the zero point calibration yourself (I know you can manually reset on Tacomas, assume you can on the 4Runner also).

I've lifted 3 different Toyotas (2 Tacomas, 1 5th Gen 4Runner), 3 different ways - never had that problem. The shop that does the install is resetting the zero properly...

Take it somewhere else.

That's due to a bad zero point calibration. Quit accepting that the same dealership that has done it wrong multiple times is resetting it properly. Take it somewhere else or do the zero point calibration yourself (I know you can manually reset on Tacomas, assume you can on the 4Runner also).

I had an issue where ABS was activating while breaking slightly heavy. After I got my alignment the issue went away. Not sure if this is the same thing you guys were experiencing or not.
