How is the seat height compared to stock? I may have missed it but I believe you were using the brackets by the seat manufacturer? If so, were they pretty much "bolt in" without issue?

The one thing I worry about is if the brackets are different (height wise) from stock and I find them too low or high with no easy way to adjust.

They look good btw and it appears the fitment is great.

As for the "bolt in" Make sure you CALL Corbeau when ordering. There were 3 different floor plans for 2nd gen 4Runners apparently, so they need bolt distance measurements.

Even then- i had to have my girlfriend sit on the chair to get the last bolt to line up evenly. But no real modification needed. Both seats removed and replaced in 45 minutes.

As for the fitment. They sit about .5" farther away from the center console. This once again made me feel as if its not aligned correctly, and the vinyl squeaks against the seat belt cover on the B -pillar. nothing a little bit of fabric or velcro cant fix.
Once i got used to seating i may still want to see what i can do to slightly twist the bracket to fit 100%, but its still 9/10. :artist2:

Built in, an extra 148 EACH. but the instant she turned the heaters on, and then had to change from the FULL on setting to 50%-because she was too warm and comfy- I knew it was worth it.

I think in the long run, especially the snow- Itll pay for itself. Not to mention, if you already spend 800 including seat rails, might as well pay the little bit more and enjoy the luxuries!

So you ordered directly from corbeau and seat brackets were included?

I Called and ordered seats and brackets for a total of 1336 shipped.
They were very helpful.
2 seats and 2 brackets with adjustable Lumbar and heaters installed. I highly recommend both.

Cost is painful. but for how easy it was to install and how nice it looks, i feel as if it was worth it.

Necessary? Maybe not. But for how easy it was - I would advise yes. I didnt want to have to fab and weld and bend things. and now i can sell my old seats with brackets if I so choose.

Alright, Feeler here...but toying with the idea of selling this sucker.

Looking for something with lower miles for the back country expeditions i do. I know i could always swap out the engine etc, but when its all said and done its still going to be a prerunner ment to fly over trails and Crawl like a beast, and Id rather see someone else using it to its full potential, while i take advantage some something a little more street friendly with new tech.

Just did brand new Cv shafts for t100 up front, and new manual locking hubs.
New distributor as well as just timed and tuned. ($800 job)

got new tires 3months ago with only about 1000 miles on them $900

And just put new Corbeau suspensions seats with adjustable lumbar and back/butt warmers. $1300

looking for $9300 with truck as is

$8k without Seats

$7500 without seats and rigid lights.

Or will to trade for FJ Cruiser/4th or 5th gen + cash

Rock Lights installed. Bought leds waterproof 3 part segments from china for $3 a piece and installed 6 white and 2 red wired it to a switch, and bought 16 guage speaker wire to run the 12v around the truck.

Okay you've officially motivated me to long travel my 2nd gen!! Holy shit, this thing is RAAAAAD!!

I understand the front end modifications with the Total Chaos kit rather completely, however, I'm still figuring out what needs to happen to the rear end... Mind if I ask a few questions?

1) So you did a leaf spring conversion. Did you keep the stock axle and 8" differential?

2) Track width: Now that the front is 6+ inches wider, did you match that width in the rear? Or just go with a wider front than rear?

3) Fiberglass: I really like what guys are doing on these with the front fenders, but on these 4Runners, it seems way harder than on the pickup configurations. I see on yours that you don't have any aftermarket rear fiberglass. What are your thoughts on this? Also, is your hood an aftermarket fiberglass one, or did you modify the OEM hood to have the scoop?

4) Can you advise on brands and sources for the coil-overs, and bipass shocks?

Again, freaking awesome build man!! You just need to throw a supercharged 3.4 in that thing now

1)Stock axle as far as im aware,

2) i did not match the rear to the front. Still drove and looked good enough!

3.) I believe it was a glassworks kit from the previous owner. It was super light. As far as rear fiberglass goes, the kit is huge and bulky and i didnt see it as a financially necessary decision. Aftermarket hood. (previous owner though)

4) I loved my Fox suspension on that truck, i had zero problems. But ive heard great things about King as far as tuning, or calling them and having them help valve it correctly for you.
