Any detail how the adaptive transmission works?
How do you reset it if you change drivers?

It shouldn't be a problem that needs resetting but I did read something about resetting the adaptive transmission by doing several starts from a complete stop at certain throttle positions. You're gonna have to google it.

I've found another cool PDF. This one's about the BMW adaptive trans. Mentions some interesting things we've speculated about on our Toyota's. For example, lockout of reverse above 8km/h to prevent trans damage.

what they really need to invent is a non sequential transmission shift system. i cant remember if its on one of the toyotas. couldnt find it. would fix some of hesitation issues in down and upshifting. transmission could shift from 2nd to 5th gear and vice versa without going thru 3rd and 4th gears.
