Adding Premium Mirrors to Base TE - 2014

Anyone know if these mirrors are plug and play? I have a '14 TE Base that I'm considering doing a swap to if it's not overly complicated/expensive. Let me know if any of you looked into this. Thanks.

Wiring harness is model and option specific. You could add the mirror but the wiring and controls would have to be added. If you had to pay labor and parts then it would probably be cheaper to trade for one with the mirrors you want lol.

FWIW, I'm in the process of installing a new auto-dim Gentex interior mirror with Homelink in our new '14 TE basic model. The first mirror was DOA & now I'm awaiting a new one. Anyway, I half expected to find a 3-wire plug for the Gentex mirror embedded up there behind the o/h console (like Camrys & Tundras), but no dice. I'm having to splice in to wires on the big white plug that provides power/signals/etc. to the o/h console. I'm thinking that Toyota must have decided that making "one wiring harness that fits all" was more expensive than making unique harnesses for the various versions of the 4Runner, even though that requires more effort up front.

I was really hoping that it would be the opposite Rick (as I'm sure you're feeling the same). This reminds of what Volkswagen has been doing for quite a few years in that each trim has it's own unique harnesses and computers. good luck with your mirror!
