Additional Landcruiser Spring Info

This may be listed somewhere already but I wanted to report my findings for anyone on the search for Landcruiser springs.

I highly recommend checking color codes first but now you can search in the part out section of ih8mud with decent success

It has been my findings that
91-92 fj80s will have 9 wraps
93-94 fzj80s will have 7.5 wraps
95-97 fzj80s will have 8 wraps

If you have any good info to the contrary please post up

the coils i have are 8 wraps and they came out of a 94 fzj80... so this is not entirely correct

Are they both 8 wrap? Most 7.5 wraps are coming paired with an 8 wrap but I guess that's arguable whether you would consider those 8 wraps or 7.5 wraps.

Curious if anyone found 7.5 wraps paired with another 7.5 or 7.75 and what year it came from.

This is not very accurate, 93-97 all have the same part #s and 91-92 have two different part #'s it has something to do with the aluminum wheels and overall weight of the vehicle. I can give you the exact specs if you'd like? I have them written down somewhere

That's weird....91-92 came with cloth interior and the 3fe....there should be no variation of weight as nothing changed. As far as I can remember no 91 or 92 came with 16" aluminum wheels. They both had 15s and they were those horrific split 4 spokes like the ones on 2nd gen 4runners.

93-94 was a whole different story. The 1fzfe was introduced but there was a mix match of parts. New rear full floater was introduced equipped with rear disc brakes. However some of the lc's produced had the 91-92 semifloat rears. My 94 was an odd ball that shared some of the 91-92 parts.

95-97 are typically grouped together as they came with full floaters and rear disc brakes.

Thanks guys for the info. This is what I wanted to know. I have followed the guidelines I put up in the first post and came up with the results to support it over atleast 8 different times. I was hoping to have found the magic years to look for when shopping for the LC coils but obviously it doesn't work every time.

I'm not looking for any as I have found sets many times over but always see the wanted threads in the classifieds with people having a hard time locating what they want. I was hoping to clear a few things up but may have muddied the water a bit more.

I posted up part #'s with the years and spring height as well a few months back to clarify some confusion. I work for toyota and got the specific info from the sf district shipping manager. I guess some people just didn't take me seriously haha

Cool, I'll take a look at that thread.
