Whats the matter Steven? Did you just realize you could of had V8 for the price you paid for your V6?

Didn't want a V8. In fact, I wanted the V6 or it was a no deal for me. Price had nothing to do with it.

Besides, the V6 is probably in higher demand than the V8 anyway, especially with gas prices climbing again to record high levels. I'd bet the resale value is higher on the V6 than the V8 anyway. But then again, that doesn't matter to me either, because price wasn't a consideration for me then, and it's still not now.

20% off is my goal

I try to get a 20% discount off the sticker price, including any rebates. I think you are doing well when in that range, especially with Toyota. With my truck I was within a few hundred of this figure. For domestic cars, trucks and suv's I have seen published discounts of 10-12 grand off a 40k vehicle.

Sounds reasonable for what you purchased. Doesn't appear to be a raging never-to-be-repeated kind of deal, but fair nonetheless.

2007 V6 SR5 4x4 purchased Feb 2007. Optioned: AW, CD, CM, DR, FE, NE, PE, and RL. Distributor optioned CF and P4. Pooling Carsdirect.com, KBB, Edmunds and TMV - averaged price to shoot for around 28,000 for a 4Runner as described above. Trade in value for the F250 ran 7-10,000 depending on the source.
