Im referring to the little screen between the tach and speedo.
I'm running an 8200nex with maestro link and have not lost any functions aside from the phone button on the steering wheel which I now use the "talk button" instead with Apple carplay.
Unfortunately I didn't do it myself, I had a professional do the install work so I can't comment on installation details. They did add a couple harnesses for steering wheel controls into the quote but I thought most of it was covered by the maestro.

I read that you lose the compass display on the dash screen.

I can confirm this as I just replaced my head unit. Was a solution to getting the compass back ever posted?

Do you know where the plug is on the JBL version or does it go right from the USB/AUX outlet to the receiver?
There is no module on the passenger side for a 2015, everything is at the OEM radio.

Not that I've seen. Did you use an interface/adapter? I'm planning on using an iDataLink Maestro RR and was hoping it might work with that but I'm not holding my breath.
[Edit] Oh, [MENTION=131466]Superjet[/MENTION] is using the Maestro. Any luck with the compass indicator on the MFD?

I used the PAC Audio RP4.2-TY11 harness. I'm thinking the driver display must have received the compass information from the nav unit which is now disconnected.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Need help, i just installed my pioneer and i had the non JBL and no nav stock radio before. The harness kit i used was the Metra 70-1767 kit which only had 2 connectors. In the back of the stock radio there was 3 connectors connected to the radio, after connecting the two connectors i noticed that the rear door speakers arent working but the hatch is. does anyone know what could be the reason?

What year is the truck, and does it have a 'Party Mode' button on the dash?

Then, party mode has likely been engaged. The hatch speakers and rear door speakers are fed with the same wires. Try pushing the party mode button and see what happens.

Okay. The so called 'Party mode' really has nothing to do with the HU; with the exception of one ground wire which activates a H.P.Filter that's built-into the stock pre-amp. But it's true function is to configure the speaker system in the truck (regardless of what HU you choose to install) so it will operate regardless of your sound system choice. If you have a four channel HU in the deck and the correct speaker adapter harness connected to the factory's speaker harness, you should have all eight speakers working when the party mode button is set to be inoperative; button in the OFF position! Pressing the button IN should disconnect the rear door speakers. Pressing the button a second time (i.e. OUT) should reconnect the rear door speakers! So... assuming that you have the correct adapter harness in place, your speakers should behave the way described above.
If you have no sound at the rear doors at any time, I would first check for speaker relay operation. With the engine off: Close all of the truck's windows and roof; this is so you will be able to hear (audibly) the relays operating. Put the ignition switch in accessory mode. With the audio system on with the sound turned all the way down, push the PM button in... you should hear a soft click on the passenger side coming from the kick panel below the glovebox... that's the sound of the speaker configuration relays pulling in. Push the button again and you should hear them gently dropping out (very soft click) as you de-energize them. This test was just to see if you have relay operation. If you do, then your next step should be to confirm the speaker wiring harnesses, making sure that all speakers are wired to your HU. Here's a wiring diagram to show which wires go where:
