Anybody running the AP high clearance tail pipe? They market it for the FJC but i think it should work on a 5th gen.

They also increase the diameter and just wondering what that would as far as sound and or any gains in power.

+0.00HP for sure :becky:

Have you considered just going to your local mom and pops muffler shop and having them make you a custom side exit piece? It will probably fit better since it's being made on the vehicle, and might even be cheaper too!

Just cut it after the axle so it points down to the ground. Best ground clearance out there.

I still have my AP high clearance tail pipe off my FJ and been meaning to see if it fits on the 4Runner. The spare tire will probably have to be removed but it looks like it should fit. AP provides a bracket for this that bolts to the rear pass side of the frame. I looked the other day and the Runner has the threaded holes in the same place.
Will update soon!

This will not work on the 4Runner. The rear cross memnber that holds the spare tire is in the way of where the high clearance pipe bracket bolts onto the frame. The same cross member would also be in the way of the high clearance pipe. The cross member is welded on so it would have to be cut off for this to work.
