Alu Cab Gen 3 Expedition Tent on Gobi Stealth

Hey just reaching out to see if anyone has mounted this tent on a Gobi Stealth Rack. I have a 2019 Pro. Also what will be needed to do it, extra cross/load bars, I know the front of the Stealth sticks up 1.5 inches as well. Do they make a Stealth without the rise up front? Any pictures appreciated. I am biased towards the Gobi as no drilling required which I want to avoid. Thanks.

I can’t help you with the tent answer, but go I does offer a no rise option. You will pay an extra $150 for it. I didn’t need any extra crossbars for my ikamper tent

As said, there is a no rise option. Rise makes it easier to mount lights/lightbar. Gobi usually adds crossbars with a rack order.

I have done it. I used the gobi specific Alu-Cab mounts. It works great, but i caution you, if you have a ladder, the hatch will not go up all the way with the awning open. I ended up taking off my gobi ladder and the hatch goes up about 95% open.

So with just the Alu Cab Gen 3 Expedition Tent, no problem? Just a problem with their awning? Wanted to make sure I had that right. Where did you find the Alu Cab specific mounts from Gobi? Didn’t find anything like that on their website. Thanks. Tom

Planning on doing the Alu Cab tent with a Gobi Stealth Rack with the no rise front option. What crossbars did you use? Thanks for your response on this. Tom

I have the roofnest falcon Roof top tent. I used the gobi crossbars to attach to the tent. I use the gobi awning brackets specifically for the Alu-cab awning.

Ok I thought you were running the Alu Cab Gen 3 rooftop tent. The Falcon is nice but from what I understand you cannot have anything in it, including the ladder when you close it up, is that true? Thanks.

I guess nobody. So expensive tent to not know if it will be compatible with Gobi Stealth without front rise. Anyone running the Alu Cab Gen 3 on other racks that don’t require drilling? Many have done it with the Front Runner but that means drilling which I am trying to avoid. Thanks.
