Am I an idiot or what? 4th -> 5th?

I like mine but the #1 reason I don't love it is because of the lack of a V8 and the added towing capacity/power.

If you like what you have POWER wise.........keep it and as someone mentioned, go buy a commuter car. For $17,000, you can buy the new Hyundai Elantra which gets 40mpg on Unleaded Fuel (it's not a hybrid either). This might be what I do for a 2nd car since the wife and I will be living apart for a year and need a 2nd daily driver car without breaking the bank.

I left my 2008 V8 for the 2010 V6 and dont miss the V8 one bit. I dont tow and my only off road ventures are the beach, mtn. biking and skiing upstate. Yes that V8 was very smooth but the V6 is MORE than enough for what I do/need. I wouldnt think twice about trading in the V8 for the V6 again...the 2010/11 4runner is that much better than my 2008 (even with the super skinny 20's) from top to bottom. I dont miss the 2008 one bit. Now my 2006 Range Rover Sport V8 I miss everyday.......

I traded in the 2001 V8 Tundra 4.7 for my 2011 4R.. The 4r feels much faster in every respect. I don't miss the v8.. but I do miss my truck.. was awesome.. kids just didn't fit in back seat... anyhow...

One thing of interest, MotorTrend rates 0-60 of 7.6 for 2010 Trail 4runner.

comparison wise.. as I was on the fence in getting a GC or the 4R. Motor Trend rated the 2011 Jeep GC v6 @ 8.4. And in another article, the Hemi 5.7 GC got only a 7.3 time.. that's alot bigger motor 90hp more.. to only get .3 advantage..

If you could be bothered to hop over to the duplicate thread you made in the 4th gen forum and inform the people there, who were nice enough to reply to you, of your action taken, then you wouldn't have to have sour grapes over people who possess common courtesy.
