I think you guys are hurting the feeling of 5th gen owners upstairs. but, please go on.
Reading other threads apparently it's a huge hassle to access the front recovery points for towing/winching.

I dumped a 2010 Sequoia to go back to a 4th gen. 4Runner. I actually lowered my payments big time and wasnt crushed, not even bruised or skinned! I'll have the '08 4Runner paid off in a little over a year, and im happy as a clam now.
Im thinkin' when the '09 leases start rolling in soon, i'll look for a gem for the wife! Keep the '03 and garage it...supe it up with some mods, etc.
I'm sure the payments are lower in your situation. But my question is how much did you lose on the Sequoia? You can lower your payments and still end up taking a bath on the value of the vehicle you dumped.
Not as bad as you would think! The Sequoia was a 2010 and the '11's were rolling out, and this one was sitting on the lot for a LONG time. Almost an entire year. Sticker was in the low 40's, i got it for $36k. Keep in mind this thing didnt even have door sill protectors, floor mats or anything "extra". Granted the "standard equipment" on the rig is decent, but even the salesman told me "thing thing has nothing extra", and that was ok. I dont drive long trips that require me to be entertained.
When i traded it in, at first they wanted to give me $32k, i refused, they went up to $34k, refused again, came back with a $34,750 and brought the price of the 4Runner down by over a grand, refused, brought the 4Runner down another $1250, i remained interested, got them to throw in a Platinum Extended Warrantee (there was a 7yr/100k extended powertrain on the Sequoia cuz of a cam spring issue that i b*tched and whined about to Toyota that caused the CEL to go off, looooooong story) so i think i did pretty good. You may disagree, but i feel content.

Man, I wouldn't do it.... you have a fantastic vehicle with no payments.... put the payment amounts aside in another savings account and save that money for something else.
I'd love nothing more then to have my 4Runner paid off, knowing I have such a great vehicle with years of service left.
