Am I Getting a POS Sub/Amp/Speaker? What are you running?

In a couple months I want subs and an amp and eventually new door speakers. the sub/amp I want to keep it under 250, but if a certain combo is excellent I will fork out a little more. Speakers front & rear under 80 would be good. I found these on amazon. They have really good reviews, but are they bad? The reviews could be from 16 year old kids who like to thump and don't know music. I enjoy the words so I won't be annoying the next car over but I do like my music medium-loud with a decent amount of bass. I don't need to be winning any audio awards. Tell me what you think of these.

Why should I spend more? This is just my idea so far. I have a couple months to decide, might wait till i'm 18 (april 24th) to buy these so my mom will be easier to sway to let me customize my truck. I am working and willing to wait a couple weeks to get better ones.
Really I just want opinions, what do you guys have? what are you running? what of what I posted would be a good setup?
I understand the rears are 4" and fronts are 5.25 but I will make adaptors to make the front fit 6.5 and rears 5.25.
I'm not a punk kid who wants everyone to hear him. I'm just a punk kid who wants to listen to good, medium-loud music while driving, minding my own business. :drummer:

any aftermarket speaker/components with a amp will make your music sound better. it just depends on how much you want to spend on quality sound. I wouldn't go with the boss and pyle. Are you going to run a amp to your door speakers? Are you keeping the head unit stock?

I have 6.5 kicker r6c components in the fronts and soundstream spl69 in the back doors (customized) running it with a PPI PCX-480 and a 8' fosgate sub with a kicker zr240 in my 99runner.

I have an aftermarket deck. It's a couple years old, a 250$(new, I looked up and that's what it was when it wasn't outdated) Kenwood deck. Doesn't have aux on faceplate but there is one coming from behind it so let me use my phone, it has a usb but doesn't work on iPhone 4(shows how outdated it is). I want to run the amp just for the subs, but if I have to i'll run it to my speakers too but the deck I have seems to be enough for door speakers. When I get home I can add a pic of my deck. I bought my runner already wired for amp/sub and the cords go to the cargo area. How do you like your setup?

I've had many different systems in my car. Tired of that loud bass. Just want a small sub to go along with my components.

It all depends on what you are looking for in a system. SQ (sound quality) or SPL (in other words very loud). The kenwood should work fine with the kickers. I'm sure you can go 6.5 in the front. The sub and amp combo is a bit pricey for that setup for me. For $200 for can get a better setup on Craigslist.
