Annual state vehicle inspections

As already stated, Oklahoma has no inspections at all. However, police can enforce the laws, though I have never heard of any tickets other than headlights.

Seems like it's pretty relaxed in some states. In Ontario you have to have a vehicle safety checked (lights, tires, lines, suspension, windshield, no rust holes ect) whenever an ownership is transfered or a vehicle is being registered from out of province. Emissions testing is required in areas with higher population density on anything newer than 1988 when transferring ownership or every other year once the vehicle is 7 years old. This test is done through tail pipe for gasoline vehicles 97 and under, visual test for diesel 97 and under, obd2 for 98 and above.

FL - nothing and I love it. Keep the government out of my life as much as possible.
No ugly front license plates either, this can really ruin the look of certain cars. Glad we only do the rear.


Hell, they havent even made me get a new license photo when the card gets renewed. It still uses the one from when I was 15 for my permit.

ND - keeping the nanny state at bay. Pay tag annually based on type and age of vehicle. Motorcycles are dirt cheap (I think my 05 Harley was $20 last year), and my 06 T4R was like $55 I think.
There are laws concerning noise levels for modified exhausts, very stringent tint restrictions, bumper height high or low, but if you live in a town with more than 8,000 people no cops even look twice.
Also can't get pulled over for no helmet or seat belt, they can ticket you for seat belt however if they pull you over for something else.
