You can, but I wouldn't want to. The frame is currently level. If you level out the body, that will actually give the frame a reverse rake.

Also, then your front will have gone up 3.5 inches and you're getting yourself into needing an adjustable UCA, and probably a differential drop as well. And unless you're going for larger tires, your wheels will be going a bit further into your fender wells.

You could maybe look into a body spacer for the front. That way you could have a level frame and a level body.

Not necessary, but I'm probably going to do one anyway. The pleats on my CV boots are touching. It's only $30, so no real reason not to.

Just checking. Back when I had my FJ i did the OME kit and probably should have done it then, my boots tore at about 70k miles. But im not sure if that was lift related or it was just time anyway.

Where did you get your 1.5" daystar spacers?

Yesterday I had my Bilstein 5100's installed. I went with the 2.5" setting up front and added a Daystar 1.5" spacer in the rear. Ditched the stock Dunflop tires for 275/70R17 KO2's.

MAJOR improvement in looks and ride quality!! No more major nose dive during breaking and it soaks up bumps better. Absolutely zero rub and I get to leave the mud flaps on!

I was worried about it looking "goofy" with that amount of lift on 275's, but I actually love the look!!

Can you post a link? Not sure which to purchase on amazon.

No, that will take you in the opposite direction and increase the rake.

For everyone reading, this is the correct part number. It's the FJ Cruiser part number. Which as we all know shares our suspension. Amazon just doesn't know that.

Have you reached out to them? I did last night and haven't heard anything back. I asked them if they had an idea when they'd ship out since the label was created on the 12th and they still haven't shipped.

I have not reached out to them. I was at Joshua Tree this weekend. Ill try contacting Amazon tomorrow. Once I get an update, I will let you know. They know they messed up on the pricing and hopefully they dont cancel it.

Did my install yesterday, the front took me about 4 hrs. and the rear about 2 hrs. just took my time and made sure I covered everything.
Bilstein install along with SPC UCA's.

For the install I only disconnected the sway bar and spindle. No other parts needed to be disconnected. (i.e. LCA's or tie rods)

Bilstein 5100/Daystar 2.5/1.5

Got my lift installed today, here are some before and after measurements. Happy with everything so far. Stock UCAs. Measurements are from ground to the fender, which keeps some of the stock rake.

Before:
Front Driver-34.75"
Front Passenger-35"
Rear Driver-36.5"
Rear Passenger-37"

After:
Front Driver-37.25"
Front Passenger-37.75"
Rear Driver-38"
Rear Passenger-38.5"

For you guys that went with factory coils at 2.5" on the 5100's, can you possibly give your opinion on ride quality?....Also could you share your alignment #s if using stock uca's...
I already have my front and rear 5100's but can't make up my mind whether to use factory coils at 2.5" and 1.5" rear daystar... or just go with ome 2884 on front (at "0") and wheelers T13 rear coils with 5100's rear. Kinda leaning the ome/wheelers coils. Not planning on up grading to better coilovers in the future. This is my daily driver and I do tow a smaller fishing boat. Not much off-road use and I'll be staying with 265/70 or 275/70 at tires with hopefully SCS wheels.

What I have- 1 inch Cornfed spacer on the front of a 2016 SR5 w/20 inch wheels.

What I want- I would like to have the rear set 1 and 1/2 inches higher with the whole vehicle level ( no front rake).

1.How/can I do this using only Billstein 5100 and spacers? (Settings,size of spacers,etc.)
2. Is this recommended?

I did not do new UCAs yet, but may in the future. The alignment came out good and the runner drives straight and true. The only thing that the tech couldn't get perfect was the caster, but it's real close.

I'm going to drive it like this for a while until I get new springs, then I'll do the UCAs.

So, if you want to do a one and done, might as well go for it. But if you're planning to do more in the future, it can wait.

Klevrboy, if you want to lift the rear of your 4Runner 1.5" and you already have a 1" front spacer and want level.... several options.

1. Bilstein front 5100 set at 2.5" lift (stock coils)
2. Bilstein front 5100 set at 1.75" lift (stock coils) and also use your 1" cornfed top plate spacer (if the actual spacer is .5" thick spacer) - actual spacer thickness will result in nearly double in actual lift.
3. Bilstein front 5100 set at "0" lift combined with aftermarket ome 2884 or 2885 coils combined with .25" top plate spacers.

There are many more combinations you could use as well and you can lift the front up to 3"... but at that height you will need uca's . The options I listed above will give you ~2.5" front lift. Combine that with the 1.5" that you want to lift the rear and you will be close to level or very slightly rear high.
I've been looking at these combos for several weeks and had experience with my 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas. Both had Bilstein 5100's and both 1.75" front lift.

The UCA question is kinda hard to answer. Some say that aftermarket UCA's are absolutely needed. Some claim at 2.5" front lift, that they were able to get the alignment caster number high enough (2.5+) and keep the camber number in specs. Seems like the higher the caster number, your 4runner will feel more planted while at higher speed.

I can attest to this as with my 2nd gen Tacoma, I could only get the caster number to 1.3ish on both sides. The truck felt like it was kinda "loose" at speed. Kinda like I had to correct the steering a lot at higher speed especially if wind was blowing. Nothing dangerous by any means. But was a tad frustrating at times. Aftermarket UCA would of fixed this. The aftermarket UCA would of allowed me to get a higher caster number. Now with my 3rd gen Tacoma,I was able to get the caster to 2.4 both sides with stock UCA. Drove like it was on rales no matter wind or no wind. Felt planted at speed! Both the Tacomas were lifted 1.75" in the front. Both shared the exact suspension set up. The 4Runner is also nearly exactly same front front suspension as well.
