So I did this mod a while ago and a week or so ago i noticed the left headlight (if your looking from the front) has moisture in it. Sometimes a lot sometimes just a little foggy smear. What is the best method/product to use to go about getting rid of all this moisture?

One of mine does it if I use a pressure washer or splash through some big puddles. When mine fogs up I will pull the bulbs out of the housing and put them in zip loc bags still wired up. Then i will just leave the hood open in the sun or in my garage with my floor fan blowing in the engine bay. For faster drying, take both bulbs out and just blow a hair dryer in one of the openings. This weekend I am going to pull out those lights and Plati-Dip the entire housing. That should take care of it.

Doing this mod right now per the OP's walkthrough. I didn't end up loosening my bumper to get at the side screws. I'm tall and my long arms easily reached up there to get them out.

Both reflectors' tabs broke off trying to get them out. Fail.

Any suggestions for getting them back in securely?

Finished! Figured out the yellow reflectors. Looks pretty dang good for something I did. Have pictures. May end up posting them.

Hey guys. New to the forum. I did this mod a few days ago. The only problem I had was that I could not get the plastic cover off that covers the blinker light (the one that has the amber cover glued on). I didnt want to force it off and break it. Any suggestions on removing that because I would really like to paint the whole thing black.

you have to break it off. it will most likely leave a little piece behind so youll just need to dremmel it out. just be careful and break it as close to the base as possible

Blacked out my headlights last night. i left the orange reflector in but tinted it.

now im starting to think the fog and marker light down there could use some darker shades

I decided to pull out the lower lights to paint that chrome bezel black. I also decided to nightshade the corner lamp. I dont really like the look of it with the lamp off. too black I think.

I think it does look alright with the corner light on.

How did you go about taking the lense off of your foglight? Did you just put the entire fixture in the oven for a bit and did the chrome bezel come out easily to paint? Also does it affect the performance of the fogs at all? I am looking to do the same thing.

Yup, just put the fog light in the oven, seperated it from the turn signal. The housing comes apart easier than the headlight. The bezel comes out good too. The fog lights performance is not affected. The turn signal i have 'niteshaded' is affected though.

Thanks a lot man. I just bought mine two weeks ago and I cant get enough of reading about mods and doing them. Big plans in the future. Cant wait to do it. I have my fog and DRL nightshaded already. I like the appearance of both when they are off as I have a black runner, it blends in nice. At night its a different story. I like the DRL nightshaded when its on as much as when its off but the fog light on the other hand looks like $h1t when its on... I am just going to have to compromise and strip off all the nightshade and paint the bezel. Anything I can do to make it not white. I am murdering out my runner, everything possible black and seeing it done on yours looks pretty awesome. Thanks!
