they replied quick when i asked to add the noise reducing trim to order. So fingers crossed hah.

You can skip the moulding. It will rub the roof if you place the fairing about a 1/4" above the roof. You could put down some clear vinyl first to prevent it. The truth is, the rack is very quiet and it's not necessary. I've help install 3 of these and we all ordered the trim. None of us used it.
I'm not sure it shows the gap well enough, but you can definitely see the screw hole placement for the fairing I used. I hope I saved you the $12.00!

Has anyone tried mounting the full length Prinsu without drilling the two front holes?

I've had mine mounted with out drilling for about 5 months. I used 1" wide by 1" high rubber cabinet feet. got them from Parts-Express.com part number 260-744
I did trim them down a little but they have worked great, haven't seemed to move.
I have had decent loads on it so far but i try to put the weight towards the rear.

How did you mount the feet? Directly to the screws for the front of the rack? Did they require drilling or something to seat in the rubber mounts? Any signs of cracking after weather and sun exposure?

I used a 3/4 stainless screw and locknut. put the head of the screw in the bottom of the rubber foot so the threads are showing where you will attach to the rack. see pic to see diagram of foot. this one has a metal washer embedded in it. I had to trim the foot down by about 1/4 inch.

finally got my axe, shovel and Jack mounts put together for my Prinsu:

started with:

1/2" 7075 aluminum for the "A" supports.

ended up with:

still have two of the "A" supports left over.

Have to ask though, since the whole thing is modular, there's no interference with the sunroof and the cross beams, right?

Has anyone had success using other brand accessories? for example front runner has just launched a quick release RTT mounting solution. Just wondering if they could work on the t slot rails from prinsu. Torn between the front runner rack and now the prinsu

CBI released info, pricing anyway, on those earlier this week. If I remember correctly it was $125 for 1 or $199 for 2.
Check their website to see if they've provided more info.

Absolutely love my prinsu rack. The only issue I've had so far is mounting a RTT because of how low profile it is.

Were you still able to mount one or did you need to find new hardware to allow it to clear between the roof and rack?

I'm almost 100% sure this will be the rack I go with when I have the money saved up so information like that is really helpful.

About the group buy; I contacted them and they said they have no plans to offer one right now.
