Hi All,
When I first got my 2000 Ltd I took it on a quick 500 mile drive and got 23+ MPG! I then base lined it, with complete, multiple, fluid changes, new filters all around, new plugs, radiator, coolant, B&M trans cooler etc. I just did a 750 drive and got 18 MPG! WTH!
I used cruise control ~95% of the time and rolled at ~72 mph, 2200-2400 rpm. I swear I drove ~85mph when I got the 23 mpg…
Oh yea the rear brakes were even dragging back then!
The 23 mpg was early fall in the south west, not hot but a little warm. It was 40°-60°.
I think winter blends are in…I used Chevron 88 octane….
Any clues? That's just so counter intuitive…
It is rolling much more efficient. I got it over 100mph at one stretch just to see if I could!
Fun ride otherwise…
