Anti Theft Ideas

My rott is the exact same. Looks viscous as hell but is really just a lover. I have the stock steering wheel right now.

Once you pull off the steering wheel, do you just take it with you or put some kind of lock so it won't go back on unless you have a key? I have the stock steering wheel, would I have to buy a different one?

Thinking I might go with the fuel pump shut off. I will update when done. I am just waiting on insurance company (litterally, they should be here any minute) to cut me a check before I start anything.

Could always get a quick release steering wheel. No steering wheel no way to drive it. One of the reasons i had it in my mr2.

I did the fuel pump cutoff switch on my last truck. Then after a wrenching project that lasted almost 2 weeks on and off I tried to get it to start and couldn't, for 2 days. Don't forget the switch :nono:

Where did you locate your switch?

I like this

I also saw one a few years ago

The doors are unlocked, the keys are under the dog.

Made me laugh.

I like the steering wheel idea myself. pretty reliable really.

Yes, to the fuel pump.

Yep, fuel pump kill switch. If you're leaving truck for extended period (i.e., trailhead), unplug a few critical fuses, the EFI relay (easy), just remember where to put them back. Anything to make potential thieves take more time to steal it would help. If they like to troubleshoot, they'd be mechanics, not car thieves.
And do not post location of your kill switch anywhere..

1)Kill Switch
2)Alarm
3)2nd Kill switch (put in open view but unmarked)
4)Weld rebar over cat (to keep tweakers from cutting it out and stealing it)

I also have 3 other "anti-theft" systems in place I wont openly talk about.

Anyone know if there is anything I can do about the weak ignition? Can i buy an aftermarket ignition that is harder (or impossible) to strip?

Not sure if anyone posted this, didn't read all the posts... sorry. :hiding:

Alarm with Pepper spray activation. There is a device if I can find it again that was in the news that was sort of legal that does just that. unauthorized entry results in the car being filled with cayene pepper spray mixture explosion. Once it settles you just vaccum it off. Meanwhile the theif is found rolling on the groud....:flamethrwoer2::lmao:

Alarms are too mainstream
